Just sitting here procrastinating. Sad to leave but need to leave. Tomorrow will be 28 days to go. Comcast TV has been over for awhile. Fuck you Comcast. You are welcome baby. 🙂 I don’t like Colbert. He’s a huge dull douche, but tonight The Kills are the musical guests. In 2003 the Kills were a big deal to us. They were the subject of one of our first post on a new fresh website called MusicFilter, which is a whole story in itself. We saw the Kills in 2005 at the Earl in Atlanta. They were a little disappointing as a live act, but they still ranked a BMF MusicFilter page. We have albums, cd burns, you name it. I’m not even sure what we have but hearing their name tonight made me smile. I can’t wait to see and hear them tonight. Hope I don’t cry. Damn we were so in love. I miss him with me. But I’m looking forward. That’s what he would say.

The Kills – “Keep On Your Mean Side” I just brought this album to Miss Chicky who looked over at me and said, “This music is made for us”. My first impressions: raw, simple, sexy, hard, soft, cool, original, and we’re only on track five.

This is definitely one of the best albums I’ve heard so far this year. It’s unusual to like every track on an album but this one passes that test. I especially like “Superstition” and “Fried My Little Brains”. The Kills at the Magic Stick in Detroit on April 29, 2003. I hope they show up in Atlanta.

My first impressions stand after listening to the CD a few more times. It only gets better each listen. Very sexy and very raw. This is music you can definately feel in your guts.

Update: The Kills still rule. I didn’t cry. I smiled. Thank you baby. #57 #bmf4ever
