Vivienne Westwood, our punk rock queen died on December 29, 2022. I was fortunate enough to go to London in October to finally spend a long while at her 430 Kings Road shop Worlds End where Vivienne would start a movement of fashion and more. The building is all crooked and wack and it was a fantastic experience. Thank you for all the fun. I’m still wearing your rubber flats BMF gave me year after year. I was able to add to my VW collection while in London and I will treasure the memories.
The King’s Road shop always offered a peek inside its proprietors’ obsessions involving class, fashion and propriety. As the years went on, its name frequently changed — it was variously known as Let It Rock; Too Fast to Live, Too Young to Die; Sex; Seditionaries; and World’s End.
